Antique 19th Century Indian Bronze Krishna Baby Stealing Butter Thief Brass Gold

A solid cast bronze alloy figure depicting Krishna the "Butter Thief" as a youth holding a ball of butter which he stole from his stepmother. In this classic depiction, Baby Krishna or Bala Krishna is crawling with a ball of butter in his right hand.

This 18th-19th century example is shown next to a life size skull for scale, and is one of a collection from the same household (final image). Metal skull is life size for scale.
